With the combined experiences of a lifetime of international travel and a solid background in business, Kate Daniel, President of Journeys Ahead, Inc. has a comprehensive understanding of the complex issues confronting international companies and organizations who seek a share of the North American travel market. It is our belief that there is significant untapped financial potential available to members of the emerging responsible tourism industry who pursue a targeted Marketing and Public Relations campaign. These are the tourist dollars that will ultimately create a truly sustainable tourism product for the communities of the world.
As the daughter of an international businessman, Kate Daniel was born in Germany and at ten years old moved to Iran, where her family made their home for almost fifteen years. Kate began her travels to the remote outposts of our planet long before it was “fashionable” to immerse oneself in local communities and cultures. After a successful career in tax preparation and estate planning, Kate decided to pursue her real love: - the Art of Travel - and formed her own tourism consulting corporation, Journeys Ahead, Inc.
Kate is currently serving on the National Board of the Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa (APTA) and is a member of the Program Committee of The Colorado Foothills World Affairs Council, a non-profit organization that promotes education and understanding of international affairs. Her education includes a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology with a minor in Archaeology and a Masters Degree in International Business Management. She is currently completing a professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management through George Washington University in Washington, DC.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens
can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
~ Margaret Mead 1901-1978
